SIPA: International cocaine trafficking ring busted

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in cooperation with police and judicial authorities of the Republic of Italy, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, participated in the realization of a large international operational action and in the process busted an international cocaine trafficking ring.

During the operational activities, significant quantities of the narcotic drug cocaine were discovered and temporarily seized, SIPA announced.

In the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA police officers arrested two individuals, questioned several witnesses, and searched multiple persons, facilities, and movable property, seizing items that may serve as evidence in further criminal proceedings.

SIPA police officers continue to work on this case with the aim of documenting the criminal offense.
