SIPA confirmed: Two employees have submitted requests for termination of employment

(Patria) - The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) officially commented on transfers from this agency to the MUP of Republika Srpska.

"Regarding media reports and your inquiries concerning the call of institutions of Republika Srpska for the transfer of employees of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, whose residence is on the territory of Republika Srpska, we hereby inform you that as of today (March 20, 2025), two employees have officially submitted requests for termination of employment with SIPA, without stating their reasons," SIPA stated.

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik claimed that 300 SIPA members would transfer to the MUP of Republika Srpska, while the Minister of MUP of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, said yesterday that he had signed 20 transfer requests. However, different news is coming from SIPA.

It is true that a certain number of employees are on sick leave, but for now there is no information on whether they are also leaving SIPA.

An emergency session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been scheduled for today with one item on the agenda, which is the Information on the situation in the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) with a proposal of measures for a solution, proposed by the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"After the former director Darko Ćulum requested to be relieved of this position, we inform the public that the functioning of SIPA has not been disrupted and that the Agency continues to operate in accordance with legal procedures and competencies," stated the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They added that, together with the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are working intensively on resolving the newly emerged situation and the election of new leadership for the State Investigation and Protection Agency.
