
(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) are acting on a request from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the verification of allegations from reports about the placement of explosive devices in some facilities in the Sarajevo Canton area.
"As the public was previously informed, police officers of this Agency, acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been carrying out measures and actions within their jurisdiction in the previous period, starting with the verification of allegations from a bomb threat report at Sarajevo Airport, shopping centers and schools in the Sarajevo Canton area, and the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The latest case concerns a bomb threat report at the premises of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After receiving the report, the Agency informed police bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Armed Forces, the Intelligence-Security Agency, NATO, the FBI, and EUROPOL.
In this regard, police officers of this Agency, acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are conducting field activities related to investigations and other activities concerning the identification of the sender's IP address.
After the completion of field work and submission of available findings, further measures will be determined by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina," SIPA stated.
