
(Patria) - State Investigation and Protection Agency police officers today carried out the "Border" operational action in the areas of Banja Luka and Doboj.
During searches that concluded at five locations, money in the amount of BAM 130,000, mobile phones, notes, and other items that can serve as evidence in further proceedings were discovered and temporarily seized.
SIPA's statement states that four individuals, officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, were deprived of their liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "Receiving gifts and other forms of benefit" prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"The persons deprived of liberty will, after the completion of criminal processing and questioning as suspects, be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The "Border" operational action was carried out on the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska," it was announced from SIPA.
