
The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the American University in BiH (AU BiH) signed a Cooperation Agreement today (January 20, 2016) at the official premises of SIPA. The agreement was signed by SIPA Director Perica Stanić and AU BiH President Denis Prcić, reports the Patria news agency.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by SIPA Deputy Director Đuro Kenežević and representatives of AU BiH Esmir Ganić and Migdat Hodžić.
The signing of this agreement marks the beginning of official cooperation between SIPA and AU BiH, which will be realized in the future through joint projects aimed at the development of science and expertise, as well as through scientific and professional cooperation in the form of training and professional development of AU BiH students, organizing specialist courses for SIPA members, round tables, and other forms of cooperation. Discussions also covered joint scientific research aimed at using new technologies and modern working methods in certain areas, as well as improving SIPA's operations.
Students of the American University in BiH will have the opportunity to visit SIPA and attend lectures on organized crime, terrorism, and other forms of crime, during which SIPA investigators will present practical examples, as well as lectures on other areas within SIPA's scope of work.
The signatories of the Agreement expressed mutual satisfaction with the officially initiated cooperation between the two institutions, which will be of mutual interest, and concrete projects will begin soon.
