Explosive charge of a rocket launcher found last night in Maglaj

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday adopted the Decision on declaring the end of the state of natural disaster in the Federation of BiH, but tasked the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters to continue monitoring the situation in the affected areas, and to determine the scope and needs for engaging civil protection forces and resources, reports Patria agency. Yesterday's severe weather again caused problems in several municipalities.

Municipality of Maglaj - on 22.7.2014, at 7:18 PM, the municipality of Maglaj was hit by a "cloudburst", heavy rainfall, which led to the sudden "swelling" and overflowing of the Jablanica River from its banks. Firefighters immediately went to the scene and surveyed the flooded areas of the local communities: Jablanica and Bijela Ploča. The river flooded roads and again flooded some households located along the riverbed, but the river quickly receded into its banks.

Employees of the civil protection of the municipality of Maglaj, upon receiving the report, went to the scene and removed an explosive charge of a rocket launcher, type OSA (Maglaj town locality), and it was stored.

Situation in the Tuzla Canton

Municipality of Lukavac - on 22.7.2014, at 7:45 PM, the municipality of Lukavac was hit by a storm with heavy rainfall, causing damage to residential buildings and infrastructure in just two hours, especially in the town itself. The fire department removed fallen trees, while Elektrodistribucija teams worked on disconnecting power to residential buildings, as well as street lighting, to prevent injuries to firefighters during the work.
In addition to fallen trees in the local community of Šikulje–Prline, a landslide occurred on the Lukavac-Smoluća-Šikulje road; a team was sent to the scene this morning to assess the situation.
Due to flash floods, two collective residential buildings were flooded. Also, in the local community of Hrvati, six residential buildings were flooded. Teams are on the ground and are carrying out tasks according to priority.

Municipality of Sapna - after yesterday's rainfall, an old landslide was activated in the local community of Vitinica. The landslide threatens three residential buildings.

Situation in the Una-Sana Canton

In the municipalities of Ključ and Bosanski Petrovac, there were several short power outages due to the severe weather. In the municipality of Bihać, from 4:33 PM to 5:26 PM, the 35 kV double line Kulen Vakuf was de-energized due to the severe weather.

Situation in the Posavina Canton

The rehabilitation of the Sava defense embankment in the flooded areas of Odžak and central Posavina is in the final phase.

In accordance with the Order of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters, the Federal Civil Protection Administration procured means for carrying out disinfection and deratization measures, and concluded an Agreement on the provision of services in the flooded municipalities with the company "Sanitacija" d.o.o.

So far, the company "Sanitacija" d.o.o. has carried out disinfection and deratization measures at the following locations:
- Sarajevo Canton, municipalities: Stari Grad and Novi Grad,
- Una-Sana Canton, municipalities: Ključ and Sanski Most,
- Zenica-Doboj Canton, municipalities: Zenica, Žepče, Zavidovići, Maglaj, Doboj-jug, Usora and Tešanj.

Work on carrying out disinfection and deratization measures in the Posavina Canton is still ongoing, reports Patria.
