UNION TO MEET ON SUNDAY Expanded list of miners' demands, they do not give up on Andelija's dismissal

(Patria) - An extraordinary session of the Management Board of the Independent Union of Mine Workers (SSRR) in FBiH will be held in Tuzla on Sunday, where 12 points will be presented to government representatives. Although the miners had eight demands that they sent to the FBiH Government, the relevant minister, and JP EP BiH, within whose concern are seven mines, on November 18, the list of demands has been expanded. The miners gathered for large protests in front of the FBiH Government building on Tuesday, where they also spent the night, and refused negotiations. On Wednesday, November 24, they dispersed at 3 PM, but no agreement was reached, and the miners did not resume production.

Union President Sinan Husić confirmed that the list of demands will be sent to the FBiH Government and the FBiH Parliament. The miners are not giving up on the demand for the dismissal of the director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, Admir Andelija. The dismissal of mine directors who have already started implementing the rulebook on work and work performance has also been requested.

The session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, where information regarding the mines will be discussed, will be held on November 30.

Miners gathered in front of the mines and administrative buildings on Friday evening as well, and were joined by family members and citizens in Breza, Kakanj, and Tuzla.

In addition to the demands for Andelija's dismissal, the miners are seeking the linking of service seniority, which has not been paid for years, and the invalidation of the rulebook on work and work performance, which, according to them, reduces miners' salaries.

Several political parties have supported the miners and their struggle, and they have the greatest support regarding salaries, i.e., that not a single mark should be deducted from miners' salaries.

The miners called on the DF president, Željko Komšić, to dismiss Andelija, and he stated that the federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić (SDA) and the relevant minister Nermin Džindić (SBB) should resign as soon as they do so.
