Union Demands Suspension of Classes in Kindergartens and Primary Schools

The Independent Union of Primary Education and Upbringing of FBiH - Cantonal Board of Sarajevo Canton has sent a request to the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of KS to make a decision on suspending classes in all preschool institutions and primary schools in the KS area, due to the high level of air pollution that has been ongoing for a longer period, writes Patria.

An urgent request to make the mentioned decision has been sent for the protection of the lives and health of children and pupils.

  - Children will be grateful, as will their parents, teachers, and those who know that the health and safety of children are an imperative for our society - it is stated in the announcement.

A similar initiative was launched last year around this time when children took a one-day break due to pollution, after which they returned to school.
