Trade Union of Secondary and Higher Education on KS Budget: KS Government is carrying out legal violence, anarchy and arbitrariness

(Patria) - The Trade Union of Secondary and Higher Education, Upbringing, Science and Culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cantonal Board KS, has issued a statement regarding the adoption of the Draft Budget of KS for 2026.

"The government has directly violated the provisions of the collective agreements for the sectors of secondary education and culture, which clearly stipulate the obligation to discuss the base salary amount before the adoption of the Draft Budget.

Such arrogant behavior, violation of regulations signed by the Prime Minister and sealed by the KS Government, and avoidance of social dialogue cause great indignation and disappointment of the Trade Union, which our members will surely express in the coming period. The absence of any response from the KS Government to two requests for a meeting, sent by the Coordination of Trade Unions in Sarajevo Canton, is, above all, unprofessional and unworthy of the positions they hold, which, along with the violation of collective agreements, gives an alibi to everyone else not to respect regulations, not to honor agreements, and to ignore partners.

Leading Sarajevo Canton in the described manner, primarily through legal violence, is something diametrically opposed to creating a "Canton of Pleasant Living", which the Prime Minister and certain members of the KS Government promote in their mandate, and in reality, they are promoting anarchy and arbitrariness through the back door.

Are the members of the KS Government considering what message they are sending to the entire public with such actions", stated the Trade Union.
