SIPA Union: No salary increase for state police, no new equipment, we have little dignity left

(Patria) - The Union of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) announced today on its Facebook page, prompted by numerous reports about equipping lower-level police agencies, while state police agencies cannot even get a salary increase because the Budget of BiH Institutions for 2025 has not been adopted.

"Every day we read headlines on portals talking about new specialized equipment for the police of one, another, a third... canton, new vehicles for the RS Ministry of Interior police, higher salaries for all entity and cantonal police officers, and then you return to reality in the police bodies at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina.... There is NO budget, NO salary increase, NO new equipment - except for a few donations for the Border Police, which show that some EU countries care more about border protection than our rulers, who are the highest paid in the Balkans and, given their efficiency, we believe in the world!

No one asks what message they are sending with their actions to police officers at the state level who are still the only ones in the world not insured against the consequences of accidental injury during their work, who, despite the collective agreement, do not have systematic medical examinations... Who still have NOTHING, it is easiest to write it like this because it is difficult to find anything that state-level police officers have... pardon, they still have a little DIGNITY and PROFESSIONALISM!
