Tax Administration of FBiH Union Decides: Two-Hour Warning Strike from December 15

(Patria) - The Trade Union Board of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH has made a decision to organize a warning strike, which will be held every working day from 11 AM to 1 PM, starting from December 15, 2025. The strike will take place in all organizational units of the Tax Administration of FBiH.

As announced, the key demands of the employees are a salary increase of at least 20 percent for all employees of the Tax Administration of FBiH, in accordance with the agreement reached on September 16, 2025, and the systematic regulation of this allowance through amendments to the Law on the Tax Administration of FBiH and the Law on Salaries in Public Authorities of FBiH.

The union also demands an immediate cessation of the practice of permanent employee transfers without their consent, the annulment of disputed transfer decisions from 2025, and the return of employees to their previous positions. Among the demands are also the adoption of a new by-law on the systematization of jobs, filling of approximately 500 vacant positions, and the cessation of any forms of pressure, discrimination, and inappropriate behavior towards employees.

During the warning strike, only minimal work, as prescribed by law, will be performed. This type of strike can last up to 30 days, after which it will be suspended or escalate into a general strike, which will be decided by the competent trade union body.
