Union announces protests over Labour Law, demands dismissal of Prime Minister Novalić

The Union of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina today demanded the dismissal of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Prime Minister Fadil Novalić due to the new Labour Law, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

The FBiH Government adopted the Proposal of the Labour Law at a session held on 23 July in Mostar, emphasizing that it harmonizes domestic regulations in this area with the legislation of the European Union and European principles and standards of labour legislation to the greatest possible extent.

From the SSSBiH, they stated that they will not give up on their demands, will not agree to the reduction of workers' rights, and will not participate in any negotiations in which workers' representatives are not equal partners and which aim to turn workers into slaves, and announced protests in front of the FBiH Parliament building on the day the Proposal of the Labour Law is presented to parliamentarians.
