BHRT Union: Novalić and FBiH Government Responsible for Financial Collapse of Public Broadcasters

The Independent Union of Workers at BHRT supports the demands of the Union of Independent Unions of BiH addressed to the FBiH Government regarding the withdrawal of amendments to the Labor Law and enabling the signing of a collective agreement, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

We also support the agreement reached between the Union of Independent Unions of BiH and the Employers' Association of FBiH regarding the new General Collective Agreement for the FBiH.

We give special support to the solution for increasing the minimum wage, which should ensure an adequate standard of living, social security, and compensation for work for workers in FBiH.

We hereby also express our strong protest due to the negligence of the FBiH Government, which has not sent its opinion on the RTV fee collection model to the Council of Ministers. We remind that, due to such an attitude of the FBiH Government towards public broadcasters, there is currently no active way to collect the RTV fee, and public broadcasters are practically left without money.

The Independent Union of Workers at BHRT warns that, in the event of a financial collapse of public broadcasters, the FBiH Government, headed by Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, will be held directly responsible.
