Trade Union and Non-Governmental Organizations on Respect for Human and Workers' Rights

(Patria) - Non-governmental and trade union organizations are organizing a long-term program of discussions and conferences on respect for workers' and human rights with the aim of gathering information on problems related to their violation, in order to take appropriate steps based on that data and achieve improvements.    

The first conference and discussion is dedicated to the rights of activists and journalists and will be held on February 11 at the Trade Union House, with participation from representatives of non-governmental organizations, trade unions, journalists, and activists.

The program of discussions and conferences is organized by the Association of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Region (ANOR) in cooperation with the Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees in State Bodies, the Judiciary, and Public Institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SUFBIH) and the Independent Union of State and Police Officers and Employees in Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Judiciary, and Public Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDSZ). 

Among the goals of this program is strengthening joint action among all organizations (governmental or non-governmental) to provide support to citizens and respect for human rights.

Through the program, the initiative to form operational groups between trade union and non-governmental organizations will be presented, which would stand for the protection and promotion of the rights of employees, officers, and workers for whom no trade union organizations exist, ANOR announced.
