Unionists claim: Izetbegović said he will reconsider the Labour Law

The Alliance of Independent Trade Unions of BiH today again requested from political parties in the FBiH to remove the Draft Labour Law from the agenda, which is expected to be on the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament's agenda on Thursday, reports the Patria News Agency.

At an extraordinary press conference, they confirmed that they had negotiations with several political parties in BiH during the day, and that they received a guarantee from the president of the Party of Democratic Action, Bakir Izetbegović, that the SDA will reconsider the new Labour Law.

The Alliance of Independent Trade Unions of BiH demands that the Labour Law be completely withdrawn from the agenda of tomorrow's session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, claiming that it is not good for the workers.
On the other hand, many economic experts believe that the proposed new Labour Law is beneficial for both workers and employers, and that unionists are protecting their own interests instead of the rights of workers.

The Alliance has announced protests for Thursday in front of the FBiH Parliament building, which will begin at 11 AM. The protests will be called off, they said, only if the proposed new Labour Law is withdrawn from the agenda of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament session, reports NAP.
