Silajdžić for NAP: The "Trojka" once again confirmed its political collapse by demonstrating powerlessness before Dodik

(Patria) - Bosniak ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH did not even formally submit a request this year for the adoption of a decision on a day of mourning at the state level, on the occasion of marking the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

The last time such a situation occurred was in 2014. This broke the previous practice in which Bosniak representatives, regardless of expected obstructions from the entity of Republika Srpska, submitted requests and at least in that way showed political and moral responsibility towards the victims and the culture of remembrance.

The ministers from the ranks of the "Trojka" were probably discouraged by the statement of the President of Republika Srpska and SNSD, Milorad Dodik, from June 26, when he clearly stated that "there will be no day of mourning in BiH on the occasion of July 11".

- Instead of confronting Dodik's threats and political violence, the "Trojka" parties capitulated and accepted his dictatorship.

Their inaction and complete lack of reaction represent a political execution that exposes all their incompetence and betrayal - commented Haris Silajdžić, a representative of the Party for BiH in the Parliament of FBiH.

In a brief statement to the Novinska agencija Patria (NAP), Silajdžić says that two years in power were too much for the "Trojka" members.

- From the very beginning, the "Trojka" project was marked by weakness, lack of legitimacy, and fear. Instead of leading politics bravely, they chose subservience, false compromises, and calculated performances for the public.

Due to their powerlessness, the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina can expect an even longer phase of political apathy, calculated patriotic phrases, and irresponsible statements produced solely for election commercials - all at the expense of the truth, justice, and dignity of the genocide victims - says Silajdžić.

Isn't it time, he asked, for the "Trojka" to finally be removed from positions of responsibility? For them to stop being mere shadows of Dodik's subordinates, and start defending the interests of the people and the state?

- Enough silence and betrayal. It is time for a fight for justice and dignity - not for calculation and cowardice - concluded Silajdžić in his statement to NAP.
