Silađi: We already gave our opinion that Lukač's appointment was illegal

The judge of the Municipal Court of Sarajevo, Aida Hasić, made a Decision on March 13, 2015, determining a temporary court security measure, by which the "party against whom security is sought is ordered to immediately, upon receipt of the decision, make a decision on the appointment of Lukač Dragan to the position of Director of the FUP Police Administration, to which he was re-elected by the final and binding decision of the Independent Board of the Parliament of FBiH of January 19, 2015", writes the Patria news agency.

This decision confused even the greatest legal experts, and it is known from before that the Office for Legislation of the FBiH Government gave an opinion that Lukač's appointment to the position of FUP Director was done outside of legal procedures.

- In the case in question, we gave an opinion to the Government of the Federation of BiH, in accordance with our competencies and responsibilities. We are not authorized for any further clarification of the situation that has arisen, and what the Government of the Federation of BiH will do now is unknown to us – Željko Silađi, Director of the Office for Legislation of the FBiH Government, told Patria.

We remind you that the Office of the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Legislation and Harmonization with European Union Regulations confirmed that the tender procedure for the election of the Director of the Federal Police Administration was carried out contrary to the law, i.e., that it was necessary to announce a tender under the new law on internal affairs.
