Six companies to assess damage to residential buildings

Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees Adil Osmanović, with his associates, met today with representatives of companies that have expressed a desire to help the returnee population whose homes were severely damaged by floods.

As stated in the press release, representatives of companies from Sarajevo, engaged in infrastructure design, DIVEL d.o.o., TRASA d.o.o., IPSA INSTITUT d.o.o., TZI-inženjering d.o.o., Saraj-inženjering d.o.o. and Design & QC d.o.o. have offered their professional assistance to the Ministry, including two engineers and technical equipment each, to urgently assess the condition of residential buildings with minor damages.

Damages to roads and landslides will also be recorded, based on which the extent of damages that can be immediately repaired will be assessed, along with the bill of quantities for the required works.

The Federal Ministry has already engaged three teams composed of its engineers who are carrying out this work in the returnee communities of Doboj and Vukosavlje. Today, an operational meeting of the Ministry's teams and the representatives of these companies was agreed upon, which will be held on Friday, so that they can start working together in the field next week. Representatives of local communities where the surveys will be conducted will also be included in this joint cooperation, which will be coordinated by the Ministry.

The goal of the joint cooperation is to enable conditions for the return of the population who, in a short period, were forced to leave their homes twice. Driven by humanitarian reasons, the company representatives emphasized at today's meeting that they will bear all costs of the planned work themselves, the press release states.
