BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - In the Republic of Srpska, 14 more people have been registered with the new coronavirus, said the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Srpska, Alen Šeranić, at a press conference.
These are eight men and five women.
"11 people are from Banja Luka, and one each from Derventa, Čelinac, and Gradiška," Šeranić said.
So far, 59 cases positive for the new coronavirus have been confirmed in the Republic of Srpska.
He emphasized that 12 people are linked to the third cluster from Banja Luka.
"This is a hotspot that is still spreading. We are monitoring all of them and trying to take control. In addition to the third cluster, another person contracted the virus from a family member, and one traveled from Austria," Šeranić said.
He stated that a small number of those infected are coming from abroad, which means that border control is being monitored well.
"I ask citizens not to create artificial shortages of medicines; for now, the medicine market is stable. Individual and temporary shortages of some medicines are possible, but the supply continuity is good, and we will strive to keep it that way."
He emphasized the importance of preventive protection for people working in pharmacies and the need for pharmacies to remain in their current state.
"Regarding testing, another device is being procured, and we want to improve the capacities of laboratories in Banja Luka, as well as in Bijeljina and Foča. This would be a network that would cover the entire Republic of Srpska," Šeranić stated.
