Šepić: Usual 'democratic' practice in SDA is expulsion from the party

Senad Šepić, a deputy in the State Parliament, commented on the fact that he received a pre-expulsion from the party, after leaving the SDA Club together with Šemsudin Mehmedović, Sadik Ahmetović and Salko Sokolović.

- First, there is still no invitation or agreement from the top of the SDA for the announced meeting with me and my colleagues from the Club, who left the last session and no longer participate in the SDA Deputies Club in the BiH Parliament.

Second, which is obviously related to the first, it is true that the Executive Board of the SDA Cazin held an emergency session on Sunday, with one item on the agenda, which is a decision on a reprimand and 'pre-expulsion' from the SDA for Senad Šepić. As this has become the usual 'democratic' practice in the SDA, this time too I did not receive any invitation to the session, even though I am a member of that body. Also, I have still not received any written document about it. It is clear that this act was ordered and coerced by the Cantonal Committee of USK and the SDA Headquarters from Sarajevo.

It is obvious that this is an additional pressure on me and my colleagues ahead of the meeting with the working group appointed by the SDA Collegium to negotiate with us from the BiH Parliament. But this is the worst and most primitive method that the top of my Party, wanting some better 'negotiating positions', resorted to when it comes to me. The people of Krajina, like most of our honest people, have never been cowards and have never bowed their heads to anyone. Instead of responding to the essence of my struggle for changes for the better in our Party and the state of BiH, they again decide, 'on the sly' and hypocritically threaten and punish those who are the true voice of the people who elected them.

I am not surprised by many of the decisions that the people leading my Party have been making lately, panickingly protecting their own positions and preparing for positioning and the next elections. I am not surprised by the servile decisions in general, especially not those who lost the elections and whom the people positioned where they belong, whether they are in the top of the SDA in my Municipality, Canton or the Party Headquarters. Because only such people, trying to escape their responsibility for the decline in results and losses in the elections, 'distance themselves from Šepić or vote for some reprimands against him', but I am convinced that the time will come when everyone will be ashamed of their dishonorable decisions.

And finally, the bigger question is, where is the end of the destruction of the fundamental values of the Party and the settling of scores with people who think differently and want a different policy and a Party for all people, not just narrow groups and selected, family and interest-connected groups? All those who make such decisions will have to answer for that, and the top and the President of the Party, as the most responsible for this situation in the SDA and the state of BiH in particular.

Until then, I expect and call on them to stop compromising themselves and the SDA and to urgently withdraw and invalidate such dishonorable, retrograde and undemocratic decisions, and start restoring the trust of the membership and citizens of BiH that we are a democratic, open party in which people compete in good and results and in which different opinions, strength and creativity of the individual are supported and affirmed for achieving the common good. This is necessary so that we can direct our strength where we should, which is working for the people who elected us and all citizens of BiH who expect us to spend our energy on that and make sure that all of them, not just the obedient and the chosen, live better.

Only such approaches can interest and obligate me, and in that direction I will always be a partner. And as for the rest, you can play at party 'democracy' as much as you want and discipline those who will bow their heads before you however you wish. I am not that person, you should have learned that by now. And the people will again make a decision about you, about such 'democrats', and people without a stance, and about me, and that is the only measure - said Šepić.
