Šepić: Let's liberate BiH and build an honest country where people want to live and stay

(Patria) - Instead of populism, slamming fists on fingers and empty space, a submissive mentality and a 'dorat' strategy, Bosnia and Herzegovina needs a serious turn and a new approach in foreign policy, believes Senad Šepić, candidate of the Independent Bloc for the BiH Presidency member from the Bosniak people.

- In the last four years, the world around us has changed dramatically, and major changes await us in the next four years. The last four years, the Bosniak and Bosnian-Herzegovinian leadership met completely unprepared, endangering all our strategic partnerships, including the one with Turkey. In the next four years, we must move forward with leadership that understands global, European, regional, and Bosnian-Herzegovinian changes, and with leadership that offers a clear vision for building a strong and credible Bosniak and Bosnian-Herzegovinian position, all in order to achieve results in the interest of all residents of BiH, our economy, and our values and way of life. In the upcoming elections, I offer the people of BiH that vision, I offer my experience in foreign and domestic policy, with a huge desire to liberate BiH together and build a society and an honest country where people will gladly live and stay - emphasizes Šepić.

He says that regardless of the huge turbulences in the EU, BiH's path to EU membership is still the best option for achieving the goal of a more organized and stronger state.

- But, for the EU to help us in this, we need politicians on our side who will know, have credibility, and insist with them that they help us more strongly in the concrete work of building the state, not just in talk and posing for leaders, which is always easier for the EU. The EU is also our largest trade and investment partner. Whatever the EU looks like in four years, it will remain an economic factor. We must use our proximity to the EU and potential future membership for our own benefit, not detriment, as has been done so far. Our goal must be to be the next country after Macedonia to become a member of NATO. The world, Europe, and the region are changing. Instead of old delusions, hopes that everything will remain the same, and delusions, I offer Bosniaks, but also the whole of BiH, on October 7th, to vote for a clear change of course and rejection of populism, submissiveness, and folklore, and I have the energy, knowledge, and experience to turn BiH towards the path of becoming a modern European state - said Senad Šepić, candidate for the BiH Presidency member from the Bosniak people.
