Šepić: European values are defended in BiH, Western Balkans must be urgently included in the EU

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić, is one of the politicians in BiH who recognize the importance of the moment for BiH and the EU after Russia began its aggression against Ukraine. He called on the EU to initiate the membership process for our country.

This is a time when a decisive battle for democracy, peace, stability, and the values of the free world is being fought, and when force and fear must not be allowed to prevail.

The European Union must understand that its values are most defended today in Ukraine, but also in the Western Balkans, and in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.

Therefore, I call on the EU leaders and numerous friends across Europe to support and urgently admit both Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other Western Balkan countries that have unreservedly stood with the free world and against occupation, into membership. This would be the best move they can and should make now.
