Šepić: BiH needs a broader gathering across the entire country, not just Sarajevo is important

(Patria) - The events surrounding the election of the mayor in Mostar and the conflicts within the BH Bloc were also commented on by the president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić. We bring his comment in full: 

“I have always been on the side of integrative processes and I have always tried to gather and be part of gatherings on the political scene, but that gathering must be on honest grounds and without calculations, and it must include the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

These latest developments with the BH Bloc and ‘partners’ further confirm how much such projects lack substance and real content, and how they thus serve only to create an illusion of an alternative. A real alternative must be a much broader front and in an area much larger than Sarajevo, and I hope that Mostar was a sufficient and final lesson for everyone. 

And regarding that city, everyone, both from the BH Bloc and the Coalition gathered around the SDA, must still do everything to act together and not allow the politics of Čović's HDZ to continue running Mostar, because everyone could see what that looked like over the last more than 15 years. 

Therefore, no trade-offs, nor future positioning, should be more important than the people and a better future for that city.”
