Senad Repuh remains on Sarajevo bench until end of season

The first team of FK Sarajevo will continue to be led by Senad Repuh, a forty-four-year-old football coach, holder of a UEFA PRO license, who led the Sarajevo team for the first time in yesterday's league match against Čelik, announced FK Sarajevo, reports the Patria agency. 

After the resignation of the recent Sarajevo coach, Mehmed Janjoš, the management of FK Sarajevo gave its trust to Repuh.

- I am extremely happy for the opportunity to continue working with these guys. I grew up at FK Sarajevo, played a large number of matches, won trophies and wore the captain's armband. I am fulfilling my dream, by continuing my coaching engagement after my playing career at the club I love with all my heart, and no matter how much I am in the position of coach, I will give absolutely everything to make my contribution to the club's successful results. I feel great honor and pride, but also responsibility. There is a lot of work ahead of us. We want to eliminate the shortcomings in the game and prepare adequately for the upcoming matches. The club's results are the most important. With the necessary unity of all those who love this club, I believe that Sarajevo can achieve very good results in the remainder of this season - said Repuh.

In his playing career, Senad Repuh played approximately 200 official matches in the jersey of FK Sarajevo.

In the championship season 2006/07, he wore the captain's armband of the maroon club, and since September last year, he has been a member of the club's coaching staff.
