Senad Džambić: I live in a hundred-square-meter apartment with four children

Although the prestigious world business magazine Forbes declared him one of the richest businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2014, and tenth in the region, whose company records revenues of 448.5 million convertible marks, Senad Džambić, owner of the "Bingo" chain of shopping centers, says in an exclusive interview for the BiH news agency Patria that he does not consider himself the richest man in the country.
He lives with his people and tries to help wherever he can. He is not arrogant. His apartment in Tuzla is a hundred square meters, where he lives with his four children.

- I may be one of the biggest businessmen, but I am certainly not the richest. And if those who are richer than me wanted to invest like I do, we would all be better off – Džambić tells Patria.

For him, Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of the difficult political and economic situation in the country, is a country worth living in and worth investing in. What is missing, along with political support, is patriotism and national awareness among citizens.

- Citizens are the ones who can contribute greatly to improving the economic situation in the country. It is enough for them to buy domestic products when they go to the store. Anyone who does not do so should keep in mind that they are destroying BiH – says Džambić.

The Bingo Group, which has shopping centers throughout BiH, directly and indirectly employs about 5,000 people, and pays millions of amounts to the state treasury every month in taxes. He didn't even hear that Forbes had ranked him tenth among top businessmen in the region, alongside Croatian millionaire Ivica Todorić, owner of Agrokor, Macedonian steel king Minčo Jordanov, and others. However, he himself says he is a little different from the others. He loves work and discipline, but not luxury and glamour.

Ivica Todorić (735 million euros), Miodrag Kostić (520 million euros), and Sandi Češko (460 million euros) lead this year's Forbes list of the richest businessmen in the region.

A new face on the Forbes list of top businessmen from BiH is Tihomir Brajković, a construction entrepreneur from Kiseljak, owner of the company Tibre Pacifik.
