The Sarajevo Municipality of Novi Grad, led by Mayor Semir Efendić, has provided its own premises to the non-governmental organization Pomozi.ba so they can accommodate about 300 tons of food, clothing, and hygiene supplies intended for citizens in endangered areas, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
As confirmed for NAP by Fahrudin Kazazić, Assistant to the Head of Civil Protection of the Municipality of Novi Grad, representatives of the humanitarian non-governmental organization Pomozi.ba have collected a large quantity of humanitarian aid for which they do not have adequate space.
- They stored the goods in the halls of a private company, but no businessman in the city is in a position to provide their premises for use for such a long time. That is why we have provided them with our premises. For now, it is only for a month or two, but if there is a need for a longer period, we will help them – said Kazazić. He confirmed that the first trucks with humanitarian aid should arrive at the warehouses of the Municipality of Novi Grad today, NAP reports.
