Selman is a better lawyer than the Legislative Office: Claims the tender for Lukač's election will not be annulled!

The Independent Board of the FBiH Parliament, despite the "findings" of all relevant institutions, including the Legislative Office of the FBiH Government, which stated that the tender for the election of the FUP director was done outside of legal precudures, still maintains its position that the tender for the election of Dragan Lukač will not be annulled(!?), writes the Patria news agency.

Sead Selman, the chairman of the FBiH Independent Board, has once again received the trust of the other members of the Independent Board to hold this position until the end of his term, even though he has been in a conflict of interest from day one, even under the old Law on Internal Affairs.

However, all of this must go through parliamentary procedure, and Selman, against whom the KS Prosecutor's Office is conducting pre-investigative actions due to a report by Svevlad Hoffmann for abuse of office, will not pass smoothly.

Midhat Karović, president of the FBiH Security Commission, is surprised by the Independent Board's approach and says he cannot believe that someone is acting like a better lawyer than the Legislative Office of the FBiH Government.

- If they are smarter, then I don't know what comment any normal person could make there - Karović told Patria.

He explained that a proposal for the appointment of the Independent Board will be submitted to the parliamentary procedure, i.e., to fill the vacant positions, which are foreseen by the new Law on Internal Affairs that has been in force for a long time.

- We will see that when it goes into procedure in Parliament. We have a new law, and it is undeniable that their mandate lasts until November, but the gentleman in question (Sead Selman, op.a.), the chairman of the Independent Board, has been in conflict of interest from day one, under both the old and the new law. We will do everything to have it reviewed and for the Independent Board to be supplemented in accordance with the new law. We will now raise this issue in Parliament, and we must start preparations for the election of a new Independent Board in April in accordance with the current law, six months before the expiry of the mandate - Karović said.

We remind you that the FBiH Independent Board, headed by Sead Selman, has twice proposed Dragan Lukač for the election of the Director of the Federal Police Administration, even though the FBiH Government unanimously rejected this proposal twice.
