Will Selman face criminal charges for not dismissing Lukač on time?!

The Independent Board for the Election of the Director of the Federal Police Administration, headed by Sead Selman, reappointed Dragan Lukač as director today, even though he was supposed to initiate his dismissal several years ago due to proven criminal activity and serious breaches of official duty, writes the Patria News Agency.

However, Selman, who is Lukač's subordinate and owes him a favor because Lukač saved him from criminal responsibility for stolen official vehicles, traffic accidents he caused while driving drunk, and finally rewarded him by appointing him head of forensics at the FUP, ignored all the omissions Lukač made even before he was first appointed director.

Selman did not meet the conditions to be a member of the Independent Board when he was appointed, as he is a chemist, and the Law on Internal Affairs clearly stipulates that only a prominent expert in the fields of law, social sciences, criminalistics, human rights, or other related fields can be a member of the Independent Board.

However, Selman, known for being obedient, was pushed into the Independent Board outside the law, and continued to work in that manner, directly following Lukač's orders.

Thus, he knowingly remained silent about the fact that Lukač was prosecuted and convicted in Orašje for taking money from parents searching for the remains of their murdered son.

Furthermore, the FBiH Auditor General's Office determined that Lukač had been illegally taking budget funds for years under the guise of living expenses, based on which SIPA also launched an investigation.

In addition, Lukač crashed an official vehicle while driving drunk, and was never held accountable by the FUP Disciplinary Commission, just as Selman, against whom Lukač halted an internal investigation.

Selman, of course, also remained silent about the fact that Lukač, after December 7, 2014, when his mandate as FUP director expired, should have been assigned within the FMUP or SIPA, from where he came to the FUP, in accordance with the Law on Internal Affairs of the FBiH, and only then take annual leave or sick leave.

He also remained silent about Lukač misusing an official vehicle and driver for Christmas and New Year's holidays.

The numerous scandals Lukač is involved in were not enough for Selman to raise the issue of his responsibility, i.e., dismissal, all these years.

And finally, why did the Independent Board (five members, two were always abstaining, namely true professionals and legalists Božo Bagarić and Enver Ćosićkić) appoint Lukač, knowing that he meets the conditions for retirement in less than half a year?

There is only one logical answer - Aljoša Čampara is extremely keen for Lukač to remain at the head of the FUP until May, when the SDA Congress is held, in order to eliminate all those who oppose Bakir Izetbegović's election as president through fabricated criminal charges.

After that, Lukač can freely go into a "deserved" retirement. Will Selman, if everything unfolds as planned, be "rewarded" again, or will someone finally initiate proceedings for his criminal liability, for which there are ample reasons and arguments. And it is only a matter of days when criminal charges will be filed against him.
