Selimović leaves: Sabrina Buljubašić first female director in history of Bordo Club

General director of FK Sarajevo, Dino Selimović, after a five-year period, will end his engagement with the Bordo Club at the end of September. Selimović was appointed general director by the then Management Board of FK Sarajevo at the start of the 2011/12 competitive season, and during his mandate, FK Sarajevo managed, after a multi-year period, to win the BiH Cup title, the national championship trophy, and qualify for the Europa League Play Off, the Bordo Club announced, as reported by the Patria agency.

By decision of the club's majority owner, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the administrative duties at FK Sarajevo, which were performed by Dino Selimović, will be taken over by the acting general director, Master of Sports Law, Sabrina Buljubašić, the first female director in the history of the Bordo Club. She earned her Master's degree in Sports Law at the ISDE faculty in Madrid, Spain, and spent a large part of her life in the United States of America. In recent months, she worked in the legal department of FK Sarajevo, handling sports law matters.

In the past period, through the engagement of the club's leadership and administration led by Selimović, the club managed to attract a foreign investor, Vincent Tan, thus resolving accumulated, multi-year financial problems, and returned more than 2,000,000 KM in tax liabilities to the state budget, incurred in earlier years. With the realization of the first phase of the FK Sarajevo Training Center project, the Bordo Club also got its own home, and thanks to his dedicated work at FK Sarajevo, Dino Selimović received recognition as the best sports worker in the BiH Premier League in 2012. In March 2015, Selimović was appointed to the Executive Board of the European Club Association, as a representative of clubs from the fourth subdivision.

Former captain and prominent player of FK Sarajevo, Faruk Ihtijarević, who in the past period served as Head of Scouting, has been appointed Executive Director for Sports Affairs, and he will be responsible for the functioning of the sports department of the Bordo Club in the coming period.

After the end of his working engagement at FK Sarajevo, Selimović leaves behind a well-functioning club administration with a clear system of work, and for his dedicated work in the years behind us, the majority owner of FK Sarajevo, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, especially thanked and paid tribute to him.
