Coach and players agree – we can reach the playoffs

A press conference was held today at the "Park" hotel in Vogosca ahead of the start of the futsal qualifying tournament, attended by the coach of the BiH team, Boro Matan, and players Nijaz Mulahmetovic and Tomislav Bevanda.

Boro Matan thanked those present for their support and stated:

- We are in one of the more attractive groups. Russia has one of the best national teams in the world, while the Dutch owe us from previous qualifications. We must not underestimate Latvia either. We will do everything in our power to achieve a positive result, which is qualifying for the playoffs. We have analyzed our opponents' matches, but they have certainly analyzed ours too, so there will be no surprises. I am an optimist and I believe we can achieve second place - said Matan.

Captain Nijaz Mulahmetovic is counting on the audience's support:

- We weren't lucky with the draw, and the group is of exceptionally high quality. We are playing at home, and that could be our advantage, to achieve a positive result with the audience's support. We are a better team compared to the previous qualifications, and we will give our best to succeed."

Tomislav Bevanda shares a similar opinion: "The group is of high quality, but we can achieve a positive result. Against the Netherlands in the last qualifications, we conceded a goal in the last minute and missed the European Championship. This can be an additional motivation for us to get revenge in a way and qualify for the playoffs.

The qualifications begin tomorrow with the matches BiH-Netherlands (5:30 PM) and Russia-Latvia (8:00 PM). All participants of the press conference also emphasized that they expect support from the stands, especially since admission to all matches in the Juan Antonio Samaranch hall will be free.
