Sections at the Gorica Youth Centre

The Gorica Youth Centre at Avde Jabučice Street 52 has been actively and qualitatively shaping the free time of young people since 2005, offering them its premises, technical capabilities and professional support through projects in the fields of education and culture, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Gorica Youth Centre operates within the Culture Centre – a public institution founded by the Centar Municipality, which finances their work and projects.

The following sections operate at the Gorica Youth Centre throughout the year: Art School, Guitar School, Youth Literary Club, Dance School, Piano School, Multimedia Project, Youth Orchestra, and Singing School. Membership in these sections, attended by young people aged 15 to 30, is free. The Art School is led by Aida Filipović, a professor of art education and upbringing. Painting classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Guitar School – The lessons, led by Irhad Kuduz, are realized in two levels of education: beginner and advanced groups. Guitar classes are held on Mondays from 6 PM to 10 PM, Wednesdays from 7 PM to 10 PM, and Fridays from 6 PM to 9 PM.

The Literary Club is led by Sarajevo writer Mirsad Bećirbašić. This section operates on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 PM to 10 PM.

The Dance School, led by Emina Beširević, offers young people the opportunity to learn dance styles and master dance moves, with a focus on modern dances. Dance classes are on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:30 PM to 10 PM.

The Singing School starts its work on Saturday, February 7, 2015. It will be led by Ena Brdar, and classes will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7 PM to 10 PM.

The Multimedia Project, led by Damir Kustura with assistant Sanjin Arnautović, aims to enable young people to acquire knowledge and skills in various areas of performing arts: film, directing, acting... Workshop times are on Saturdays from 12 PM to 5 PM.

The aforementioned sections operate in the premises of the Gorica Youth Centre.

The Piano School, led by Vildana Zvizdić, is organized for beginners as well as those who already have musical education. Piano classes are on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 PM to 2 PM, located in the premises of the Culture Centre at Jelićeva 1, until the renovation of certain rooms in the Gorica Youth Centre is completed.

The Youth Orchestra is led by Mirsad Hadrović. Sessions are on Saturdays from 2 PM to 6 PM, also in the premises of the Culture Centre at Jelićeva 1.
