Sejdinović: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Business Application is an Excellent Strategic Move

AS GROUP, one of the leading Bosnian-Herzegovinian companies, decided three years ago to replace its internal business solution and made a strategic step towards introducing Microsoft Dynamics NAV – a Microsoft business application that belongs to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) product category.

The name itself indicates that the application's primary task is to take care of, optimize and manage all business processes and resources that can be encountered in a given business entity, reports the Patria news agency.

The contract with the domestic IT company BBS d.o.o. from Sarajevo for the implementation project of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, a brand-name enterprise management solution, was concluded at a time when AS GROUP employed 900 people, and the implementation of this software solution for enterprise management had to follow the ten-year development plan of this company.

Three years after the introduction, Semir Sejdinović, Manager for Finance and Accounting at AS GROUP, in the first business study from Bosnia and Herzegovina published on the global Microsoft website, pointed out that the introduction of the business application, which falls into the category of ERP enterprise management solutions, was assessed within the company as an excellent strategic move with long-term results for the operations of the entire Group.

- We can say with certainty that choosing Microsoft and BBS d.o.o. as implementation partners was more than a correct business decision.  Microsoft Dynamics NAV successfully followed our development plan and helped us properly develop our brands Zlatna džezva, Master, Kent, Zlatni puder, Bosanski lokum and others, achieve the desired market share and improve our competitiveness - said Sejdinović, adding that with the help of Microsoft Dynamics NAV they successfully responded to all market changes and demands in a very fast and flexible manner.

AS GROUP operates within three divisions: trade, food and textile, which include the food and trade company AS d.o.o. Jelah, then the food industries Klas d.d. Sarajevo, Vispak d.d. from Visoko, Oaza d.o.o. Tešanj, Sprind d.d. Sarajevo, Mlin i pekara Ljubače - Tuzla, as well as the textile industries Napredak d.d. Tešanj and Fortitudo d.o.o. Travnik, and the real estate management company Vemal d.d. Tešanj. The Group employs around 2,800 workers, with a tendency for growth in all three divisions.

For a company that grows through acquisitions but also records organic growth, Microsoft Dynamics NAV provides the necessary flexibility and features essential for integrating new companies into the group.

Omar Krivošija, Director of Microsoft BIH, stated on this occasion:

- I am extremely pleased that three years after the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Nav in the AS group, we followed their growth and development, and I believe that the implementation of such a business solution contributed to the development of the AS group. The partnership between the AS group and BBS is just another proof of the quality of Bosnian-Herzegovinian IT experts who, using modern solutions, help their users improve business processes and be more successful in today's extremely dynamic business environment.

Business applications have the role of simpler and more efficient management of companies, recognizing trends, simplifying decision-making and proactively reacting to all market changes in order to ensure the efficiency and competitiveness of the company, and that is exactly what Microsoft Dynamic Nav enables.“

Details about the successful implementation of this solution and its results can be read in the case study published on the official Microsoft Corporation website https://customers.microsoft.com/Pages/CustomerStory.aspx?recid=17193, announced by the AS Group Press Center.
