Heads of State to Earn 4,000, Deputy Ministers 2,400 KM

After the delegates of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA voted to reduce the salaries of employees in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this proposal will be presented to the delegates of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA on July 10th, when a session will be held, writes the Patria News Agency.

Judging by the delegates' announcements, there should not be major problems in passing this law in the first reading. The Constitutional-Legal Commission also determined that this draft law is in accordance with the Constitution of BiH and that there are no obstacles to its adoption.

The only question is when this will start to be implemented, as the mandate of the current administration is expiring very soon.

However, if this draft law is adopted, the highest salary in the country will be earned by the members of the Presidency of BiH with a calculation coefficient of 5.0, which would be approximately 4,000 KM without meal allowances and other amounts they are entitled to according to the current Law on Salaries and Allowances of Employees in the Institutions of BiH.

Immediately below the members of the Presidency of BiH in terms of salary are the members of the Collegium of both houses of the BiH PA, as well as the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH with a coefficient of 4.5, which is approximately 3,600 KM.

Ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH, as well as delegates and representatives in the BiH Parliament, will have salaries ranging from 3,100 to 3,200 KM, and deputy ministers will earn the least with a coefficient of 3.0.
