OSCE Head at Meetings with Collegium Members of both Houses of BiH PA: Interested in when the Law on the BiH Court and HJPC can be adopted

(Patria) - Head of the OSCE Mission Richard Holtzapple held a meeting yesterday with the Collegium members of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, and a meeting with the Collegium members of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA is scheduled for today.

During yesterday's conversation, gratitude was expressed for the activities that the OSCE Mission in our country has been carrying out for many years with the aim of supporting the strengthening of democratic institutions, the rule of law and human rights, supporting electoral processes and the realization of its overall agenda, which, as stated, represents the sum of all the needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Holtzapple emphasized today that the primary task of the OSCE Mission in our country is strengthening the work of institutions and that this will remain in focus in the future. During the conversation, he was particularly interested in the Collegium members' views on how the OSCE Mission can further assist in the successful realization of the General Elections in 2026, as well as in forecasts on when the Law on the BiH Court and the Law on the HJPC will be adopted in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which are conditions on the path to starting negotiations on accession to the European Union.

The Collegium members emphasized that in the House of Representatives there is sufficient political will and sufficient strength to adopt these and other pro-European laws.
