UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy visits BiH, meets with BiH officials

(Patria) - United Kingdom Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Lammy arrives in BiH today. He arrives in BiH in the afternoon, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH has announced a meeting between Lammy and Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting will be held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but there will be no official address to the media.

Lammy is also scheduled to meet with members of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, tomorrow. The Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, is in the USA, and then travels to Moscow where she will attend the Victory Day over Fascism parade on May 9.

Otherwise, Cvijanović has been under sanctions from the United Kingdom since April 2022 for endangering peace and stability in BiH and inciting the secession of RS. Milorad Dodik is also under sanctions, and they are banned from entering the United Kingdom and their assets are frozen.

In a phone conversation a few days ago with Bećirović, Lammy stated that the United Kingdom will not allow the peace in BiH and the region to be endangered after 30 years.
