Seven dead: Baby also died in crashed helicopter!

A Serbian Army helicopter, which was transporting a baby from Novi Pazar, crashed in the wider area of Surčin airport, the Serbian Ministry of Defence announced, writes blic.rs, reports Patria. 

According to unofficial information, there were two pilots, two technicians from the 890th mixed helicopter squadron of the Air Force and Air Defence of the Serbian Army, two medical technicians, and a sick baby on board the helicopter. The control tower lost contact with the helicopter last night at 10 PM, the Ministry's statement said. According to unofficial information, all seven people on board the aircraft, including a five-day-old baby, died, Blic reports.

Earlier, it was reported that the helicopter's landing at "Nikola Tesla" airport was difficult due to fog around Surčin. The spotlights at the "Partizan" and "Crvena zvezda" stadiums were turned on to help the helicopter land.

The Serbian Army transport helicopter was engaged in a rescue operation for a five-day-old baby from Novi Pazar who had respiratory problems. The baby was in an ambulance that was stuck due to a landslide on the road between Novi Pazar and Kraljevo, and the military helicopter was dispatched immediately upon learning that the vehicle with the baby was trapped.
