SDS: Halt the investigation against Mektić

(Patria) - The Serb Democratic Party (SDS) has requested that the BiH Prosecutor's Office urgently halt the investigation against the Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers of BiH in technical mandate, Dragan Mektić, which it considers unfounded.

"Instead of the BiH Prosecutor's Office launching a serious investigation based on evident proof of the Croatian intelligence service interfering in internal affairs in BiH, it has halted it and directed its edge towards those who drew attention to this problem," the SDS statement reads. 

The SDS states that the BiH Prosecutor's Office has done nothing for years and has remained silent on numerous cases of crime and corruption, while BiH has the worst rating on this issue, and that it has now been put to the function of political reckoning with those who publicly warn about this problem. 

The SDS also believes that the Chief Prosecutor of BiH, Gordana Tadić, has abused the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
