SDP organized celebration of BiH Independence Day in Žepče instead of authorities

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After SDA and HDZ councilors adopted the activity plan of the Žepče Municipal Council for 2022, which included an academy on the occasion of BiH Independence Day, under evident pressure from HDZ and Dragan Čović, the Mayor of Žepče Municipality announced at the same session to the councilors that there would be no academy in the institutions of Žepče Municipality.

This message from the mayor and the violation of the council's own work plan in Žepče by the chairman met with disapproval and revolt from the citizens of Žepče, who immediately stated that they would organize an academy on the occasion of BiH Independence Day themselves in the institutions of the state of BiH in Žepče.

Among the first to support the "civil disobedience" in Žepče was the President of the SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, who came to Žepče today for that reason and gave absolute support to the citizens of Žepče in their efforts to have the state holiday institutionally marked in Žepče, as well as in other parts of our homeland.

Today's joint message from Nikšić and the citizens of Žepče: "Only together, but sincerely, respecting and preserving the institutions of the state and its sanctities, can we preserve mother BiH."

In addition to the President of SDP BiH, the ceremonial academy in Žepče was also attended by other high-ranking officials of SDP BiH, Secretary General Elvir Karajbić, President of the SDP BiH Municipal Committee ZDK Mirsad Mahmutagić, delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament and representative in the Assembly of ZDK Jasminko Kapić.
