SDP in Travnik: It's time to give BiH a chance to be a country where we and our children live

TRAVNIK, (Patria) - The Programme Convention of the Social Democratic Party of BiH was held in Travnik, where it was emphasized that all citizens of BiH want a government that will enable people to live decently from honest work.

The President of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, stated that citizens are looking for a party with ideas for economic development in BiH.

- SDP has concrete plans on how to improve the economic situation in BiH. When you improve the economy, you will be able to offer citizens better health, education, and other services. Plan 10 is a plan that puts the care of citizens and their needs first. We have solutions and a way to make our schools better. Young people also had their say in creating Plan 10. They want education, they want an equal chance to stay and contribute to the development of our country.

Young people want better schools, not dilapidated schools that are also divided, as is the case in Travnik. We finally want to abolish the practice of two schools under one roof, and then enable young people to be educated in schools that they and their parents will be proud of. Let's renovate their classrooms, let's get them equipment that is adapted to the century we live in. Let's give them a chance to show how much they know. The adoption of the Law on School Renovation at all levels will be SDP's condition for discussing the formation of a government with us - Nikšić stated.

Zukan Helez, Vice-President of SDP BiH, stated at the convention that it is time to restore hope to people that it is possible to live a good and pleasant life in BiH.

- We are here to tell you what we want and can do in Travnik, but not only here, but also throughout BiH. We want to hear your ideas and problems. Only together with all citizens in BiH can a change for the better happen. One of the biggest problems in BiH is healthcare, and we have a plan on how to provide everyone with a basic package of health services, through our part of Plan 10 – healthcare for all - Helez added.

Nijaz Helez, President of the Cantonal Organization of SDP of the Central Bosnia Canton, emphasized that unemployment is one of the biggest problems in this canton.

- Plan 10 will not allow such a high unemployment rate among young people, and with concrete solutions, we will not allow a quarter of employed citizens in our country to live on the brink of poverty. It's time to give BiH a chance to be a country where we and our children live! Our election program, Plan 10, can only be successful if we all work together on its implementation - Helez emphasized.
