SDP proposes exemption from contribution payments for vulnerable employers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on entity governments to consider a measure of partial or full exemption from contribution payments for a period of two months for employers suffering the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially craftsmen, small entrepreneurs, and exporters.

We believe that such a move should be made to the extent that pension and social funds are not jeopardized, the SDP BiH stated in a press release.

"Also, entity and state governments should commit to prioritizing employers who do not lay off workers during the crisis when awarding grants and tenders, and prescribe this measure as a legal criterion.
SDP BiH fully supports healthcare workers and other citizens employed in civil protection and supply, who enable society to function by risking their own health. We emphasize once again that in these times it is important to abandon politicking, forget divisions, and put all our capacities at the disposal and in function of stopping and suppressing the pandemic," the SDP BiH emphasized.
