SDP calls on citizens to prevent the sale of state property

Sharp reactions from the SDP to the Government's decision to further reduce the price of remaining government shares in Bosnalijek. This is, according to the party, a continuation of the reckless sell-off of remaining state capital orchestrated by Fadil Novalić. The political patrons are SDA – SBB and HDZ.

- After selling the Sarajevo Tobacco Factory to a phantom company with two employees, the FBiH Government today made a decision to further reduce the price it is asking for the remaining state shares in Bosnalijek d.d. Sarajevo, and has once again scheduled their sale through the stock exchange – the SDP announced, reports Patria.

SDP MPs have already requested an extraordinary session of the FBiH Parliament to discuss the sale of FDS. In the meantime, the Government has scheduled the sale of Bosnalijek d.d. Sarajevo shares.

- It is clear that this is a completely non-transparent sale, without any goal other than to ensure the plunder of valuable state capital for the benefit of party tycoons. It is unknown to anyone on what basis the share prices are determined, and the Government refuses to inform even the FBiH Parliament, which is the sole owner of this property according to the law, about this! – the statement reads. The SDP calls on the prosecution services to react and stop these, as they stated, suspicious activities, and announces that they will file criminal charges against those responsible for the crime.

The SDP claims that after the shares are sold, it is almost impossible to do anything to annul the sale. For this reason, they believe it is necessary to act immediately. The party calls on other political parties, trade unions, non-governmental organizations, and citizens to join them in the fight to preserve state property, reports NAP.
