SDP condemns Milorad Dodik's outbursts and insults towards Denis Bećirović

(Patria) - The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina considers Milorad Dodik's outbursts and insults directed at the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SDP BiH Vice-President Denis Bećirović to be proof of the senselessness and most primitive populism of the policy pursued by him and SNSD.

"Denis Bećirović did not utter a single insult against Milorad Dodik personally, but rather presented claims and arguments that point to the obvious unconstitutionality and destructiveness of the policy pursued by SNSD and Milorad Dodik.

Unlike him, Milorad Dodik continues to divert attention from facts that do not favor him, and tries to reduce politics to primitive quarrels and insults.
Milorad Dodik, as well as Aleksandar Vučić, must accept the indisputable fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a sovereign state.

The Republic of Serbia must build partnership relations with the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within which entities exist as lower administrative units that have their constitutional status. It should be emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina is not composed of two entities, nor do the three peoples within it have any form of exclusivity.

The Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement are perfectly clear on this issue, establishing the full continuity of statehood, and the state, from the moment of the adoption of the Dayton Peace Agreement, consists of two entities as lower administrative units that have no sovereign rights.

The sooner Dodik, Vučić, and their followers accept this fact, the sooner Bosnia and Herzegovina and all its citizens will move towards Euro-Atlantic integration, which is also our country's obligation.

Every citizen of this rich country has the full right to a better life within modern alliances and organizations of the developed, democratic Euro-Atlantic world.

No one has the right to deny citizens security, development, and economic prosperity, which our resource-rich country can provide to its people, for their own petty interests and populism, if we all dedicate ourselves to the real needs of the people, and not to aimless politicking that serves the perpetuation in power of privileged individuals and groups," the statement reads.
