SDP on Minister Juska's statements: We are pleased that the ruling coalition has admitted its incompetence

Following the latest statement by the Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH, Ismir Juska, that the “dynamics” of highway construction are unacceptable, the SDP BiH welcomes yet another statement in a series by which top officials of the ruling coalition admit their own incompetence, the SDP announced, reports the Patria News Agency.

 

However, we consider it necessary to deny the part of the statement which suggests that there is any dynamic in highway construction. Namely, we point out that the ruling coalition has not built a single new meter of highway. Therefore, in this case, we can only talk about statics, and certainly not about dynamics.

It is interesting that this is just the latest in a series of statements by the most prominent officials of the ruling structures, such as Čović, Izetbegović, and Radončić, who speak of “unacceptable” delays, blockades, and obstruction of the reform path. Although they consistently admit the unacceptability of their own incompetence, this has not stopped the ruling parties from offering their candidates to the citizens in the local elections, assuring them that they are people who “know how” and who “guarantee stability”.

We believe it would be more honest if the ruling parties showed consistent sincerity in their pre-election slogans as well. Thus, in accordance with their own statements, they should have guaranteed citizens stable unacceptability, alienation from the people, or emphasized that they themselves do not know how or why.

The representatives of the ruling parties in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH would certainly agree with these slogans. Namely, in the Parliament, which embodies the voice of the people, that voice has not been heard for months, because there are no Parliament sessions. The ruling coalition clearly knows why, and the citizens know too. It remains to be hoped that the citizens will know how to punish the unacceptable incompetence that SDA, SBB, and HDZ BiH themselves admit, in the upcoming elections, according to the SDP BiH statement.
