SDP, NIP, NES, Naprijed and PDA signed a coalition agreement for joint appearance in the General Elections in RS

(Patria) - SDP BiH, NiP, NES, Naprijed and PDA signed a coalition agreement today in Banja Luka for a joint appearance in the General Elections in 2026 in RS.

The signing was attended by the presidents of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić, NiP Elmedin Konaković, NES Nermin Ogrešević, general secretaries of Naprijed Adil Osmanović and PDA Samir Imamović, and SDP deputies in the National Assembly of RS.

As stated, the document defines the principles of joint appearance, mutual support, campaign coordination, and other forms of political cooperation in the upcoming General Elections.

Addressing the media after the signing, Nikšić said that these five parties want to be "a factor that will represent the interests of the citizens of RS, seeking ways for the solutions adopted in the National Assembly of RS to be in line with European standards and regulations".

- We also want to create synergy between the Federation of BiH, RS, and Brčko District and form a government at the BiH level that will fulfill the remaining obligations for BiH to finally move towards European integration - added Nikšić.

The leader of NiP, Elmedin Konaković, says that this consolidation of the political scene is not a new phenomenon, especially in the entity of RS.

- Due to demographics and the fact that fewer and fewer people live in BiH, especially in this part, there are fewer and fewer political entities that have the capacity to achieve good election results on their own. This type of political association is an obligation for all those who love BiH, with the aim of improving living conditions throughout the country.

This is not a rebellion or disloyal gathering, but an invitation to all parties that feel BiH is their state to join and together create strong lists for the parliament, entity parliaments, and some goals that are in the interest of the citizens of BiH - Konaković stated.
