SDP will not silently observe further division of BiH

By obstructing the adoption of the collective agreement, the FBiH Government continues to play games with workers' rights. For the Social Democratic Party of BiH, such an approach is unacceptable and leads to legal anarchy, which will dearly cost all citizens of BiH, it was stated in Mostar at a forum titled "Our Answer", reports the Patria News Agency.

The highest officials of the Social Democratic Party of BiH held rallies today in Stolac, Čapljina, Jablanica, Konjic, and Mostar, socialized with citizens, answered questions, and presented their views on the key problems facing our society. Gross violation of workers' rights was the focus of interest for the citizens, sympathizers, and members of SDP BiH present.

- What we are witnessing is unacceptable; first, they adopted the Labor Law bypassing procedures and by force, and now they are resorting to perfidious games to deprive workers of their fundamental rights. Declaring the Employers' Association non-representative, ignoring the union's demands, the supposed verification of the constitutionality of the collective agreement proposal, and the stance that the minimum wage of 406 KM is too high, all testify to this government's complete detachment from social reality - warned the officials of the Social Democratic Party of BiH.

At the "Our Answer" rallies, attention was drawn to another dimension of the story about the Labor Law and the collective agreement, which is rarely discussed. This is an additional concession to HDZ in order to round off the third entity in the area of labor relations as well, meaning that companies that are ownership-wise and interest-wise connected to this party would be exempt from the control of institutions not under their influence. The citizens of Herzegovina are most acutely feeling the disastrous consequences of the divisive policies that the ruling right-wing parties have been pursuing for decades, and which are now reaching a boiling point.

SDP BiH will not stand idly by and will expose this policy and its implementers at every opportunity.
