SDP leaves session: BiH Parliament will not take a stance on the referendum due to MPs from RS!

At the session of the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, the initiative by Denis Bećirović, who requested that Parliament not ignore the greatest violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, caused heated debates, and in the end, it was not adopted, writes Patria.

He proposed that the information from the Council of Ministers on the illegal scheduling, organization, and holding of an anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional referendum that is breaking the Dayton Peace Agreement be included on the agenda.

Due to the lack of an entity majority from RS, this agenda item was not included on the agenda. Following this, Bećirović, on behalf of the SDP Club, announced that they were leaving the session of the House of Representatives.

Mladen Bosić, Speaker of the House of Representatives, clarified this, but the first complaints immediately began.

Damir Arnaut stated that Bosić, as the Speaker, is responsible for preventing discussions when threats occur.

- We have a situation where the agreement we reached at the expanded Collegium is falling apart - Bosić said.

Amir Fazlić stated that they, as the SDA Club, are requesting the transcript of the discussion by Milica Mrković, who made threats.

Staša Košarac (SNSD) said that there is no need for anyone to be afraid of anyone in BiH.

- There is no need to claim that some citizens are frightened due to some events. The pathetic display that was expressed in some discussions is unnecessary - Košarac said.

Željko Komšić, DF MP in the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, stated during the discussion that when it comes to the referendum, we cannot escape the fact that it is unconstitutional action.

- You can go into the reasons why Bakir Izetbegović challenged January 9th, but he had the right to do so as a member of the Presidency of BiH. The Constitutional Court made a decision, and we are obliged to respect it. Let's not talk in a way that if you had listened to us about amending the law on the Constitutional Court, there would have been no referendum; that sounds like a threat. The PIC has a session today, they probably won't conclude anything, so the responsibility is on us - Komšić said.

He also added that everyone in the hall knows that the exercise on the Drina River caused fear among Bosniaks in Podrinje.

Milica Marković (SNSD) stated that discussions can be held, but the referendum will be held on September 25th.

She said that the exercise showed the state's readiness, but that we should not forget that Serbs were frightened by last year's events in Srebrenica, to which Sadik Ahmetović reacted heatedly.

Mirsad Đonlagić said that today's session resembles nothing.

- We have turned the session into a platform as if elections were tomorrow. All of this is campaigning, but people, these are local elections. I ask the Collegium to stop any discussion that has such tones. Anything that goes beyond proper political discourse should be stopped - Đonlagić said.

The Collegium suspended the session for 15 minutes and convened all club leaders for consultations.
