SDP: It is high time Milorad Dodik was punished

(Patria) - The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina believes that it is high time the High Representative, in accordance with his constitutional obligation and powers, punished the threats, unconstitutional actions, incitement of hatred and undermining of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the president of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik.

"The continuation of insults and demonization of certain media is only proof that Milorad Dodik has no intention of abandoning his irrational, totalitarian policy. Comparing the entity of RS with historical European regions such as Catalonia, and the incoherent linking of the administrative status of this Dayton category with the complexity of historical and internal political relations in Spain, are only proof that Milorad Dodik is not abandoning his irrational aspirations. By imposing them, he is pushing all citizens and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina into a deeper crisis and political quagmire, jeopardizing its democratic, economic, European and NATO perspective.
 
It is clear that Dodik, emboldened by the political power granted to him in the state legislative and executive authority through the political agreement of the ruling coalition, has no intention of changing his course of action. It is already obvious that, given the current balance of power, it cannot be expected that the parliaments and the Council of Ministers, which the SNSD manages in cooperation with its partners, will finally start doing their job, i.e., solving the severe economic, demographic, judicial and overall political crisis into which both the RS entity and Bosnia and Herzegovina have been brought.
 
The latest example of this are the announcements that the dismissal of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council will not be passed in the House of Peoples, even though the majority in the House of Representatives, including representatives from the RS, voted for it. It is precisely Dodik's extensive use of power to stop all processes in the state, which we have warned about in a timely manner, that is the reason for the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Valentin Inzko, to finally start using his powers and appropriately punish Milorad Dodik, as well as anyone who directly undermines the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, we expect the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by performing his duties, to ensure that the only similarity between Dodik and Puigdemont is that both have been removed from political life," the SDP stated.
