SDP and Our Party: DF's decision is independent, we remain in opposition

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Our Party today's decision of the Presidency of the Democratic Front, on the start of negotiations with the ruling parties at the federal and state level, treats as a decision of an independent political organization, which is free to make decisions it deems best for them, according to a joint statement from SDP and Our Party.

"Today's adopted conclusions at the DF Presidency session are not in line with the earlier conclusion of the three parties that as BH bloc we will not enter into government with ethno-national parties. Also, we cannot shake off the impression that the adopted conclusions are unfeasible, as they contradict the principles for forming a government advocated by SNSD, HDZ BiH and SDA," stated SDP and Our Party.

"We will continue to act consistently and constructively as the opposition to such a government, in the interest of all citizens of BiH, and with our political capacities in all parliaments, we will support the realization of all projects in the interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina," these two parties stated.

They say that BH bloc is not a simple sum of parties, but a political expression of the idea of a large number of citizens, which is far greater than the number of voters of the parties that have constituted it so far.

"We are not giving up on this idea and we will rally all progressive forces around it that believe this country can do better," they stated.

We remind you that the DF Presidency today made a decision to start talks on entering the government based on defined principles, and in the conclusions of that session, it called on SDP and other left-wing parties to unite.
