HNK SDP: The fate of 220 workers and the future of Jablanica depends on Granit

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Cantonal Board of SDP BiH HNK supports the demands of the workers of the Jablanica company Granit d.d. in bankruptcy proceedings, arising from the Conclusion of the Municipal Court in Konjic, which declared the sale of the company's property, at the request of the company "Mile stoneconsulting" d.o.o. East Sarajevo, the KO SDP HNK announced.

"A series of suspicious legal actions that preceded the adoption of this Conclusion have not alerted the competent authorities, and we are particularly concerned about the silence of the HNK Government, so we ask ourselves whether the HNK Government even knows what is happening with the company of which it is the nominal owner," the SDP HNK stated.

They ask, "Does the Government even know what Granit represents for Jablanica, Herzegovina, and that region?".

"Do HNK officials know that the fate of 220 workers directly depends on the fate of Granit, and indirectly the fate of the development and future of Jablanica? What are the intentions of the cantonal government, and does silence mean approval and handing over Granit to criminal lobbies that have been working for years on its destruction and final liquidation? We believe it is high time for the members of the ruling coalition to offer solutions and take concrete steps that will help the company survive, and any other form of declarative support without concrete steps will be considered complicity in the liquidation of a former giant and driver of development in Jablanica," the SDP HNK stated.

They added that Granit is the "Aluminij of Jablanica" and called on all levels of government to invest at least a portion of the energy invested in saving the Mostar Aluminij in saving this company.

"Then Granit will surely survive, and Jablanica will have a much brighter future and prospects. The Cantonal Board of SDP BiH HNK will support any solution that is in the interest of the workers and the company," the SDP HNK stated.
