SDP BiH: SDA once again betrayed the state for the love of HDZ BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - By voting today against including the draft Law on Electoral Units and Mandate Distribution in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH on the agenda of the House of Representatives of the FBiH, the SDA has confirmed that they are the most stable and strongest partner of HDZ BiH and Dragan Čović.

At the initiative of the SDP BiH Club, it was requested that the draft Law, prepared by the SDP and identical to the previously proposed version, be included on the agenda of today's session of the Parliament of the FBiH.

"By voting against it, as did most of the SBB club, the SDA has shown that the interests of HDZ and the distribution of positions are always above the interests of the state. We remind the public that this is a legal solution that would implement the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the 'Ljubić' case," the SDP statement reads.

They state that since this is a solution not favored by HDZ BiH, the SDA has once again protected the interests of its decades-long partners and prevented the inclusion of the proposal on the agenda.

"It is once again shown that HDZ BiH pulls all the strings in the Federation of BiH, and that they actually impose their political goals on the SDA through their conditioning, with the SDA becoming a direct executor of their wishes," the SDP states.

The SDP reminds the public that before the General Elections, the initiative to adopt the Law on Electoral Units failed because the SDA had previously elected SNSD's Drago Puzigaća to the position of Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the FBiH, instead of SDP's Golden Lily Slaviša Šućur.

"Puzigaća himself prevented the adoption of the said law. This time, by betraying the principle that the Council of Ministers will not be formed without the formation of the FBiH Government, which both SDA and DF publicly promised, HDZ BiH has been given absolute power. SDA, DF, and SBB have provided HDZ BiH with the possibility of political blackmail, so the SDA is now clearly fulfilling all of Čović's wishes in order to appease him to agree to the formation of the FBiH Government," they explain.

"We emphasize that by remaining silent and continuing cooperation with the SDA, or by following the SDA and SBB, the DF only further confirms that the left and a civic state are a mere political decoration for them, and certainly not an ideal. Otherwise, if they stand by their vote for the inclusion of the Law on Electoral Units, it should also mean the impossibility of cooperation with those who undermine the adoption of state-building solutions, whether it be the SDA or the HDZ," the SDP concludes.
